Buddhist
These socks that I finished in February of 2012 were inspired by the colours of the capes of Buddhist monks. I had just come back from another trip to India.
Marimekko-inspired Socks
Another knitting project. I finished these socks in the summer of 2011. The colours were inspired by basic Marimekko T-shirts (tasaraita) and by the Finnish Marianne candy shown.
Fave Knitted Scarf
I think that I haven't really shared my knitting projects in this blog before, but this one is nice enough to share. It's my all time fave thing that I've knitted...so far. The yarn is really high quality and all natural fibres. I've worn this scarf nearly every day this winter. I have a (store bought) matching beret.
Winter Day
Chanel and Pink Lady, enjoying a mild winter day in Ostrava, Czech Republic. The down jacket is from Sisley and the scarf I've knitted myself.
Chanel
As I mentioned in a previous post, we adopted two kittens just before Christmas. The cat in the picture is Chanel, named after the fashion designer of course. And we named her brother Kenzo, also after the fashion designer. I later realized that they are both also names of perfumes. Well, the names suit them because they are so thin, elegant, stylish and they always smell lovely. And they dress in black, as many fashionable people do.
Divine dress
This dress is just utterly amazing. I wonder if I could crochet something like this?

Airy Decor
I am not sure if I like this decor, but it's somehow haunting...there are many elements that I love. I especially love how much light there is in the room and the giant windows.

Camel
I bought this amazing bag on my last trip to India. It's made from camel leather. The new bags were a much lighter colour, but I wanted the one that had been displayed, so that it had that worn out look already from the beginning. This bag has symbolic meaning for me - it signifies adventure. It reminds me of movies such as Out of Africa (one of my faves). I also recently watched a movie called African Queen, and Humphrey Bogart had a bag just like this one in that movie. My only regret is that I did not buy more of these in different sizes...next time. By the way, I now use the bag to store my yarn (I'm a knitter). Well, some of my yarn...
