Like Europeans at the beginning of the last century, Indian ladies don't want to get tanned - in their mind, the lighter you are, the more beautiful you are. Like other Asian ladies, they use umbrellas as parasols, which is an excellent alternative to both sunscreen and to wearing a hat - both of which tend to make you very sweaty.

Going for a swim in a lake in the countryside near Hassan, India. I got the harem pants in Goa - they are almost the uniform of Westerners there. I have never seen Indian people wearing them, though.

With my new bike in the small town called Hilton in Cambridgeshire, UK. I am not fond of the style of modern bikes. This is the last bike I owned and I deliberately got one that looks old-fashioned. It was actually quite expensive.

This jacket was another fave piece. My Mom got it for me from the flea market. It was actually a men's jacket but it fit me perfectly. I wore it for years and years. The photo was taken on a beach somewhere in Great Britain in the mid-90's.
