Pineapple
My favourite snack in India. The problem with spending time in India is that you can't eat fruit in Europe anymore after that; at least not exotic fruit. Fruit has no taste in Europe compared to India. The most amazing fruit is mango, when it's in season. I never buy it in Europe, it's just not worth it.

Recycling
I went shopping in Kerala and this was the shopping bag that they put my purchases in. I love it! The guy had actually made these himself from old newspapers, a bit of string and some metal studs. What a brilliant recycling idea! Of course, in India it's poverty that makes them so inventive. I wish we could be this inventive even when we don't have to be.
Breakfast with a View
Not a bad view for drinking one's morning coffee. This was taken at Kovalam Beach, Kerala, India on April 3rd, 2010. The season was already over so it was fairly empty. The reason that the season ends at the end of March is that it gets deadly hot and humid there as the monsoon season approaches. I think that I've never been as hot anywhere as I was in Kerala. This photo, however, was taken early in the morning and it was still very pleasant.
