Under the Cherry Tree

IMG_7564, originally uploaded by Pink Lady on the Loose!.

Today was the first day of summer in Ostrava, Czech Republic: we had a high of +26 Celcius. However, there was also a rain and hail storm! You can see in the photo that the cherry tree blossoms have suffered from the storm, but they're still looking pretty.

What I'm wearing:

Dress: H&M (from last summer)
Cardigan: from a really cheap Chinese shop in Trieste, Italy
Bag: a gift from Canada - it's made from recycled plastic bags (hand made by Suzanne LeBlanc).
Shoes: I bought them for 10 EUR from a shoe shop in Trieste, where all the shoes where for 10 euros. These are leather and incredibly comfortable. Italy is the best place to buy shoes!

Hippie Bag

I recently went to Barcelona for the first time - a real dream come true. What an amazing city! It's now officially my fave city in the world.

This bag was a souvenir from that trip.

Buddhist

IMG_6237, originally uploaded by Pink Lady on the Loose!.

These socks that I finished in February of 2012 were inspired by the colours of the capes of Buddhist monks. I had just come back from another trip to India.

Marimekko-inspired Socks

Another knitting project. I finished these socks in the summer of 2011. The colours were inspired by basic Marimekko T-shirts (tasaraita) and by the Finnish Marianne candy shown.

Fave Knitted Scarf

I think that I haven't really shared my knitting projects in this blog before, but this one is nice enough to share. It's my all time fave thing that I've knitted...so far. The yarn is really high quality and all natural fibres. I've worn this scarf nearly every day this winter. I have a (store bought) matching beret.
